Protectress suffers `minor setback` Henry Cecil`s stable today played down an injury fear to their leading Sagitta 1000 Guineas hope Protectress.The daughter of Hector Protector, a 12-1 chance with William Hill to give Cecil his seventh victory in the fillies` Classic at Newmarket on May 5th, has suffered a minor setback with an infected foot.But a spokeswoman for the Warren Place trainer said today: 'She has had a minor setback but she`s going to canter tomorrow.'Protectress was successful on her only start as a juvenile when she won a Listed race over seven furlongs at Newmarket last October.Cecil`s other 1000 candidate Half Glance - a 25-1 shot - worked well this morning with his 2000 Guineas prospect Western Verse and could make her seasonal debut in the Shadwell Stud Nell Gwyn Stakes at Newmarket next Tuesday.
